Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony – Marbella Film Festival

A truly amazing night!

The Marbella Film Festival ended with its fabulous gala dinner and awards ceremony on the 6th October 2019.

I was a busy bee interviewing filmmakers and celebrities during the cocktail reception, and of course, took some time to get my photos taken as well. It’s been my second year working at the festival, and I remember I had hardly any pictures of myself from last year. It had to change – after all, we are in the entertainment industry and it’s good to be seen.

I love H10 Andalucia Plaza Hotel, by the way, fantastic space and they prepared a really tasty vegan menu for me and other vegetarian guests.

After dinner, it was time for me to hop on stage and assist with the awards ceremony.

“Trick or Treat” a British crime thriller written and produced by Geraint Anderson, starring Craig and Dean Lennox Kelly won 3 awards: Best Feature Film, Best Actress – Frances Barber and Best Supporting Actor – Kris Marshall!

During an emotional acceptance speech, the Kelly brothers shared that their father passed away during the premiere of the film.  What a bittersweet experience, celebrating their win and grieving at the same time. I am sure their father would be incredibly proud and is watching over them now.

 

 

The festival had a really high standard of film selection and we had participants from all corner of the globe, including Paraguay, China and the United States!
